Through cosmetic bonding, the Doctor is able to reshape and repair your smiles with composite resin, without anesthesia. Bonding is a durable dental treatment, typically lasting years before it wears enough to be replaced.
To prepare you for bonding, the Doctor will isolate the affected teeth and etch them with conditioning liquid. This will create small crevices that cause stronger adhesion between the teeth and the bonding agent.
Next, a bonding resin will cement the composite in place. Several layers of tooth-colored composite will be applied. The composite material and bonding resin will be shaped and hardened with a specially calibrated light, then buffed and polished until they blend naturally with the surrounding teeth.
